Sarab Aziz
I am a woman, a mother, an Arab, a Muslim, a Syrian, an immigrant, and a proud American! I am inspired by languages, cultures, and education. For the past ten years, I have been working in the education field as a Language Instructor and a Culture Educator. I believe in a community that has a variety of colors, cultures, languages, diverse immigrants which represents our American society. I see value in helping others and I thrive to educate.
Amanda Lowery
My passion for supporting the refugee and asylum-seeking community sparked during my first year of college. As an international relations student, I learned more about the atrocities that were happening all over the world. I began volunteering with a local organization in West Michigan as a tutor and summer teacher to learn more about how I can provide tangible support.
I currently work as a Career Advisor and focus on professional development, career exploration, resume writing, and job search strategies. I truly believe in self-exploration and that it is important to building a career path.
